9 Great LearnDash LMS WordPress Plugins
1. WooCommerce:
Well, we all know that selling anything online requires an e-commerce platform. If you’re looking to sell your courses online using WordPress LMS with LearnDash, nothing beats the WooCommerce plugin in terms of flexibility and capability.
WooCommerce is an open-source plugin we like to set up for our clients that allows you to sell and manage products with the terms you want. It goes beyond physical goods as it supports the sale of digital products such as your LearnDash courses. We really recommend the LearnDash Woocommerce integration!
Also, you can easily give and remove access to your course based on the purchases. LearnDash released a free WooCommerce integration which will enable you to map WooCommerce products to your courses. A product can be associated with multiple courses which enables you to sell bundles.
When you combine WooCommerce with ActiveMember360, you can grant access based on an active subscription status and remove a student’s access to a course when they fail to renew their subscription.
WooCommerce also offers a ton of advantages over other basic payment integrations that work with WordPress–we’ve even written an article which compares major eCommerce systems to see which is best.
It works in synergy with popular affiliate plugins which means you can enable a referral network as part of your sales strategy.
2. Zapier:
Zapier is an innovative software-as-a-service (“SaaS”) that automates repetitive tasks between multiple applications. It has a free tier although once you’ve validated it works for your business you’ll likely upgrade to a paid tier which allows for more complex automations and more transactions per month.
Zapier is compatible with WordPress and LearnDash which will enable you to exchange information with more than 1000 third-party applications. From Google sheets to Slack, you can use Zapier to coordinate the tasks of almost any application with LearnDash LMS. They even have a WooCommerce integration to supplement your LearnDash add-ons.
A common application is to grant access to a specific conversation board such as PeerBoard or Circles when a student enrolls in a course.
Even if you’re looking at connecting your CRM platform with your learning platform, you can easily add and update your desired CRM functionalities using Zapier.
In this scenario, you could update the status of a lead in your CRM when they’ve purchased a course to move them from a sales pipeline to an onboarding communication stream. This makes organizing potential leads a breeze, and saves a ton of time on administration.
3. Gravity Forms:
The Gravity Forms plugin allows you to create desired registration forms with customized entries. The primary purpose of this form is to collect information about prospects, collect emails on lead capture forms, and onboard participants, but you can also use it for payments.
You could use it for payment processing payments if you’re not looking for a full cart system like WooCommerce if you only offer a few products, services and courses. However, you will require a higher-tier Gravity Forms license which grants you integrations with a payment plugin like Stripe or PayPal Checkout.
You can utilize Gravity Forms to help improve your relationship with students through feedback opportunities and custom surveys and tests.
4. Easy Digitial Downloads (EDD):
Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) is one of the most famous shopping carts for WordPress. Like WooCommerce, it allows you to sell individual and bundled courses online.
But the approach is limited to only digital products, while you must manually provide access based on purchases–so we don’t necessarily recommend this option for those with physical product offerings.
With EDD, you can unlock features like unlimited file downloads, download activity tracking, REST format, and more. This way you can keep an eye on student progress, and enable automatic download streams that you no longer have to manage in-person (or in real-time).
5. Stripe:
Stripe enables you to accept online payments via different methods. The plugin is really convenient to use and is a reliable payment gateway that integrates well with LearnDash. You can even have customers pay directly through LearnDash in this case.
Furthermore, you can also create a hybrid and more functional payment solution by integrating Gravity Forms with Stripe. That’s why TDN provides an official Gravity Form license with their WordPress website management service, since it is a really simple setup option for those without a lot of technical know-how.
6. LearnDash Integrity:
As a business, you may produce unique and innovative content for your participants. But handling concerns such as spam and copyright issues becomes challenging. Here LearnDash Integrity offers a complete set of add-ons to protect your courses from spam, abuse, or copyright issues.
You also get unique access to various add-on features including hotlink protection, right-click prevention, and reCAPTCHA.
You can combine this with a hosted video solution such as Vimeo which allows you to restrict where your videos can be embedded so that they can only be viewed on your website.
7. ActiveMember360
ActiveMember360 is another productive WordPress plugin we use ourselves, and for the clients we serve online.
This is an email marketing plugin which allows you to automate your membership system and utilize the true potential of ActiveCampaign. Besides this, you can also tag membership levels in your ActiveCampaign email marketing system for better engagement.
Say you have a membership level tag of “VIP Student” in the ActiveCampaign. The plugin will automatically enroll the participant into multiple courses and unlocks special features for the user when they sign up. This is yet another of the LearnDash membership integrations we recommend.
8. ThriveCart (incl. SamCart and 2Checkout)
ThriveCart is a 3rd party shopping cart and checkout solution designed for both physical and digital products. If we talk about the functionality, it allows you to create customized checkout pages and accept payments on your website.
You can also integrate SamCart and 2Checkout plugins according to your needs. These similarly allow you to grant access per student purchases and subscriptions.
9. MailChimp
Participants’ in-course actions explain their level of learning and further requirements. MailChimp is an email marketing system that enables you to create different email lists according to their activities.
For instance, say you have a participant enrolling in your SEO-based online course. With MailChimp, you can automatically display the subscription form and redirect him to the registration process. It’s really simple! Just select the correct MailChimp list, create a segment and then automate the emails.
All in all, integrating your WordPress LMS with any of these plugins will help you generate and manage leads, and then convert them into your customers.
