I’ve been using a low-cost tool, AddEvent, which is a WordPress Calendar Event Plugin, to increase the attendance rate for events held by our clients.
This works when you are promoting a free event and it also works if you have a paid program which includes live calls.
This tool is used to create calendars and each calendar can include one or multiple events. You can then create a shareable link, button or clickable image for users to:
- Add an entire calendar of events to their personal calendar
- Add only a specific event to their personal calendar
This functions exactly like any other calendar event, in the sense that it will notify the user when your event is about to start based on the settings of their personal calendar.
All your event details, such as the title, location, link to join, description, host and time are visible.
Any updates you make to a shared event or calendar are pushed to the attendees calendar within 24 hours.
