What is happening
After editing a page, the layout may look different from before.
You might see:
- Text or images out of place
- Missing sections or spacing issues
- Design elements overlapping
- Page styles not loading correctly
This usually happens due to cache issues, incomplete saves, or page builder conflicts.
Before contacting the technical support team, please try the steps below.
Step 1 — Refresh the Page
Sometimes the browser is showing an old version of the page.
Try a hard refresh:
Windows: CTRL + F5
Mac: CMD + SHIFT + R
Then check the page again.
Step 2 — Clear Your Browser Cache
Browsers often store old files which can cause layout issues.
Chrome / Edge
- Click the three dots in the top right.
- Click Settings.
- Go to Privacy and Security.
- Click Clear browsing data.
- Select Cached images and files.
- Click Clear Data.
Reload the website afterward.
Step 3 — Check the Page on Another Browser or Device
Open the page using:
- Another browser, such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari
- Incognito / Private window
- Your mobile phone
If the page looks correct elsewhere, the issue is likely browser cache related.
Step 4 — Verify the Page Was Saved Correctly
Sometimes edits are not fully applied.
- Go to WordPress Dashboard
- Click Pages
- Open the page again
- Click Update or Save
Then check the page again.
If You Are Using Classic WordPress Editor
Try these steps:
- Open the page in Edit Mode
- Check if any HTML code was accidentally removed
- Switch between Visual Editor and Text Editor
Sometimes formatting breaks in Visual mode.
Then click:
Update
Refresh the page afterward.
If You Are Using Elementor Page Builder
Step 1 — Regenerate Elementor Files
- Go to WordPress Dashboard
- Click Elementor
- Click Tools
- Click Regenerate Files & Data
Then refresh the page.
Step 2 — Clear Elementor Cache
- Go to Elementor
- Click Tools
- Click Clear Cache
Step 3 — Check Responsive Mode
Sometimes edits affect mobile or tablet layout.
- Open the page with Edit with Elementor
- At the bottom toolbar, click Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile
- Check if any element was accidentally moved
Step 4 — Restore a Previous Version
Elementor keeps a history of edits.
- Open the page in Edit with Elementor
- Click the History icon in the bottom left
- Select Revisions
- Restore a version that worked before
If You Are Using Divi Page Builder
Step 1 — Clear Divi Static CSS
- Go to Divi
- Click Theme Options
- Click Builder
- Click Advanced
- Click Clear Static CSS File Generation
Then refresh the page.
Step 2 — Re-Save the Page
- Open the page with Enable Visual Builder
- Click the purple menu button
- Click Save
Then refresh the page.
Step 3 — Check Section Structure
Sometimes sections get moved accidentally.
Check if:
- Rows are inside Sections
- Modules are inside Rows
Correct structure should look like:
- Section
- Row
- Module
- Row
Step 5 — Check If the Issue Appears on All Pages
Ask yourself:
- Is the problem only on one page?
- Or does it happen on multiple pages?
If the issue appears on all pages, it may be a theme or plugin issue.
Step 6 — Clear Website Cache If Available
If the site uses caching plugins like:
- WP Rocket
- LiteSpeed Cache
- W3 Total Cache
Go to the plugin settings and click Clear Cache.
Then reload the page.
