What is happening
You scheduled a blog post to publish at a specific date and time, but the post did not appear on the website.
You may notice:
- The post is still labeled Scheduled
- The post changed to Missed Schedule
- The post is still saved as a Draft
- The post is not visible on the blog page
This can happen because of:
- Incorrect scheduled date or time
- Website caching
- WordPress scheduling delays
- The post not being fully saved
Before contacting the technical support team, please try the steps below.
Step 1 — Check the Post Status
Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
Click:
Posts
Look for the post you scheduled.
Check the Status column.
Possible statuses:
- Scheduled — the post has not reached the scheduled time yet
- Missed Schedule — WordPress failed to publish automatically
- Draft — the post was never scheduled
Step 2 — Manually Publish the Post
If the post shows Missed Schedule, you can publish it manually.
- Click the post title
- Click the blue Publish button
The post should now appear on your website.
Step 3 — Confirm the Scheduled Date and Time
Sometimes the scheduled time was set incorrectly.
- Open the blog post
- Look for the Publish section on the right side
- Check the Publish Date
Make sure:
- The date is correct
- The time is correct
- The time is not set in the future
If needed:
- Adjust the date and time
- Click Schedule
Step 4 — Refresh the Website
Sometimes the post is already published but not visible due to cache.
Try a hard refresh.
Windows: CTRL + F5
Mac: CMD + SHIFT + R
Then reload the blog page.
Step 5 — Check the Blog Page
Sometimes the post is published but not visible because of blog sorting or pagination.
Check:
- The blog page
- The next page of posts
- The category page
The post may appear slightly lower in the list.
Step 6 — Confirm the Post Is Not Private
If a post is set to Private, it will not appear publicly.
- Open the blog post
- Look for the Visibility setting
- Make sure it is set to Public
- Click Update
Step 7 — Verify the Post Category
Some websites only show posts from specific categories.
- Open the post
- Check the Categories section
- Make sure the correct category is selected
- Click Update
Step 8 — Try Scheduling Again
If the post still does not publish automatically, try scheduling it again.
- Open the post
- Change the publish time to 5–10 minutes in the future
- Click Schedule
Wait until the scheduled time passes and check if the post is published.
If the Issue Is Still Not Fixed
Please send the following information to the TDN Customer Service team:
